Alright, pictures to come later cause Im working today, but the paint is done on the top of the boat. Just so everyone knows who may not already. The boat is a long-going project. I bought the boat off a man that purchased it from Sammy Duvall (he had a boat lot in Windimere FLA). It was not Sammy's but was on his boat lot as a trade in.

Fast forward, the guy who had it didnt take care of it. It needed floor, motor was locked, on and on and on.....

I got it, painted it, rebuilt engine, was going full bore on it until hurricane Charlie when a metal shed flew in from next door and damaged the top of the boat....... I was so mad I let it go and sit for another couple of years..... which is where we are now.

My dad fixed all the problems on the top and it is complete as of today. As soon as I get it married to the hull again....... one good weekend and she will be ready to break the motor in under a load!

Ill get some pics up later. Thanks for EVERYONE'S help! I cant wait for the "Get Together"

O.K.  I'll throw it out there before Phil does... PICTURES!!!!  PLEASE!!!!  Sounds like your well on your way to completion!   I saw the original condition pics and there is NO WAY I could have taken on that project.  I call Ron when I do almost anything  :(  A mechanic I'm not, but I love my boat as its readily apparent that you do as well.  Cant wait to see pics of it on the trailer and on the water!!!

One question:  What material are you using for the bow "Y" bumpers on the trailer nose???  Looks like its white...  Thanks man!  Keep it up  :)

And lastly for tonight, Joel.... that is a poly board material that is very very slippery when wet. It is just an idea of mine, I think its better than carpet. I also put it inside my fenders.

HOW NICE IS THAT!!!!!!  BEAUTIFUL!!!!!  Cant wait to see it completed!!!  I painted my son's Pinewood Derby Car (boat) white with the blue stripe down the middle and down the stern...  so, I guess mine was first!  Nice job indeed  :)  Check it out in my pic folders...

Where can I find some of that poly board material???  The carpet is rubbing the hell out of my gel coat on the bow.  Sounds like a novel alternative that should work even better than carpet...  too cool!!!  :)

Basically its cutting board material. I had a buch of it because I used to be a butcher. I took all the old boards when the replaced them with new, so I did my whole floor in the stuff along with the stop on the front of the trailer and the fender boards.

Ill see if I have enough to send you some for the front. I did see that derby car, guess I have someone to thank for the idea on the stripe huh  ;D

Thanks!!!  My (his) Derby Car's paint job is classic car stripe - which is what the bow my boat reminds me of - a 1969 Mustang hood  :)

Send me a message if you have any laying around and I'll send you my contact info!

Again, beautiful job on the boat!  Thanks again!
