Went back with edelbrock. Simpler, and all my adjustments and brackets are already set for it. I thought about the Holley, but to be honest I've never had good luck with them and the edelbrock is about half the cost of the Holley brand new.

Mike,

I can not WAIT to see your boat!!!  It might be next year, but I'm still looking forward to it - I'm sure it will be Da Bomb!!!

My Holley is a bit tempermental after the engine has been running / getting hot, but I cant complain - I just put her in neutral, give her a 1/2 pump of gas, and turn the key... fires right up and runs like a champ...  really hard to complain.  Who knows, I could have a vac leak as well, but I'm as mechanically inclined as a "monkey with a monkey wrench"...  In the wrong hands I can do some damage...  ;)

Thankfully, the Holley is very easy to adjust and seems to be very forgiving...  :)

Update, boat has now moved from awesome catagory to amazing. Being able to back off the throttle from WOT to idle and not have to worry about stalling, or worse, not wanting to restart is a huge weight lifted.

Now I wont be worried about running with the motor cover on, up till now I rarely have done that due to the carb issues (and other stuff) I have been dealing with.

Also, motor cover just got first coat of filler primer. May not sound like much, but its far past where I was to begin with. A few sandings, and Im sure some spot putty here and there and we will be ready to paint.......... install.

You guys have fun this coming weekend, but lookout, cause next year Ill be there!!!

For anyone interested in my "fake a lake setup" look at my newest photobucket pics. Works great and I can run the boat for unlimited time on trailer now.

Just incase someone needs it.

Both hoses are open end in the bucket. One is putting water in obviously (I start with drum full) and of course the other is suction and for me is much shorter.

Have not had much boat time lately,  but I did install a rear drain plug last weekend.  Pretty simple, but if your thinking about doing it be careful, its a lot higher on the transom from the outside than you might expect.

Added some pics of my rudder and rudder port. Not a horrible job, but 2 people are needed.

See my photobucket if interested

Added a couple of shots of last weekends trip to photobucket. I didn't take them so they are not the best, nut they are definitely of the old girl in the water!

I think I may have the same rudder set up...  got the grease nipple on the side with rubber "O" rings inside...  Its getting a bit loose with some play in the rudder when I move it by hand under the boat.   Gonna grease it up and see if that helps.   If not, I'm not gonna like pulling out the rudder through hull, etc...    :'(

BTW,  your boat looks AWESOME!!!

Wish I was closer man, not really that tough of a job. If I had parts on hand I could have done it in 2 hours, and that's by myself.

Well..... you are going to be in TN next Spring.... riiiiiiiiight????    ;)   I figure with BOTH of us doing it, it should only take FOUR hours...  since beer will undoubtedly be involved....  LOL!!!

Long as the parts are on hand, we're good. That is if you trust a man who don't drink a lick! I'm a cranberry juice man personally.

Ordered decals for the boat, and the motor box cover after a long break is finally being finished. Its all white, just gotta lay out the stripes and get them on and clear it. At least its finaly finish smooth.

Pics to follow, but nothing really to show yet.
