deck cleats
« on: February 15, 2018, 05:46:55 PM »
I'm thinking about installing Attwood Stainless-Steel Neat Cleats on the bow area of my 1990 American Skier.  There is currently no way to tie up the boat at the dock.  Any advice?

You don't have to install cleats. There's all kind of options for tying up to the dock. I have some of those bungee cord tie down lines and I put them on the bow eye, the rear lifting rings, the rear grab handle or just loop it over the pylon itself. Been doing that over 25 yrs. without a problem to date.
When people run down to the lake to see what is making that noise, you've succeeded.

been doing that.  I plan on continuing to use the rear lift rings, but the bow thing is just worn out.  Getting too old to deal with that.
