Original raw water pump AS '78

Hello

Here I am again at the start of the new season here in Belgium.
My original waterpump is leaking and I'm thinking about replacing it.

I searched the internet and I found that I could use the Sherwood J70. but it doesn't exist anymore.

Is there any replacement pump I could use?

Here is a pic of the original pump.

Arne,
Where is the pump leaking?
It should be able to be rebuilt. Usually the shaft seal can start to leak over time.
I assume that Ron can help you out but you are in Belgium so I'm not sure about the shipping..
Virtually any modern pump should be able to be retrofitted with a bit of ingenuity on your part if you need to go that route.

Those pumps are no longer being made & the similar belt driven pump used on early PCM Fords will not bolt up to your bracket. If a whole pump is required we may need to source the PCM Ford bracket and pump assembly. However Sherwood still makes the Major Repair kit available for the J70 pump that you have now.

I took al look at my water pump.
It's a Jabsco 17410-0001.

This pump is replaced by the model 18830-1020.
Also the service kit is replaced by the 18830-1020.

Will the service kit go with my 17410-0001?
Or is that some information I have to ask from the manufacturer?
