Throttle Cable
« on: September 02, 2013, 10:52:49 PM »
Went to pull up a boarder today and the cable broke. Finished out the day by pulling on the cable with some pliers, but I definitely need a new one. Anyone (Ron) know where to find a replacement? It's a 1987 Advance with the 351 and edelbrock carb. Thanks!

The cable is a common 33C style cable, widely available, but did the cable break or did the brass barrel on the end wear through?? This would be more typical. Either way i suspect the hours are high 500+ so I would replace the cable, inspect the barrels & replaces them if needed. If you need parts I can also supply them.

The cable itself broke. I'll take a better look at what I need. Thanks Ron!
