Reset Buttons??
« on: June 25, 2012, 08:59:14 PM »
I have two reset buttons (I think thats what they are) and not sure what they are for...  Both are white plastic covered with a white rubber "button".  They are located at the bottom left (next to ignition) & bottom right (next to the accessory) of the dash.

Anybody know what they are for?   The one next to the ignition is broken and doesnt seem to effect anything as far as the boat's operation is concerned...   puzzling   ???

Thanks,

Joel

Ohhhhh...  that explains why my cigarette lighter wasnt working...  I didnt want to pump up the damn tube anyway...   LOL!!!

Guess I better replace it.  Do you or Ron have any available?  I'll need at least ONE - next to the ignition (its broken)!  The other seems O.K. for now.

Thanks,

Joel

Got the breakers installed without issue...  everything seems to work.  I think the breakers were fine, but the plastic threaded pieces broke off because of age / brittleness.  I have a couple questions on the accessory switch/breaker and indicator light:

The two on the STBD side of the wheel are connected to the accessory (cig lighter).  Not sure why there are two??  One has a white reset button under the white rubber nipple.  The other has a black button without the rubber nipple cover - just like the Nav, Stern, Bilge on/off switches... but it does not behave like an of/off switch - it pushes in and stays there like a breaker.  Heres the question:

After I installed the breakers the accessory (cig lighter) indicator light is ALWAYS lit.  Doesnt matter if the key is on or not.  If the battery is connected the indicator light is lit.   None of the other indicator lights are lit unless they are on...  Did I connect something wrong?  Do I have a breaker and not an on/off switch??  Dont want to fry something this weekend - that would suck   :(
