Trailer winch

I need to replace the winch on my trailer will a 1800# fulton do the job?

I think that should be fine. I seem to remember another post similar to this but I couldn't find it right off hand.
When people run down to the lake to see what is making that noise, you've succeeded.

A/S OEM trailers are designed as "drive-on" trailers and the winch is there just to hold the boat in place, not to winch it up, 1800# is fine. (In the '60 & '70s none of the Correct Craft trailers even came with winches)

Thanks and yea I dont need to winch it up I drive up but the winch on my trailer is completly broken im using a rachet strap
