check for the spring back of your metal (if you're bending) if you don't all of your angles will be way out of whack. I'd also adjust your design so that its easier to cleanly run wires for speakers and lights. i built mine out of 4041 aluminum and it wasn't bad, just took awhile

I built one for my 81 ski supreme way back on the day...in 99 or 2000. I was something me and my buddies threw together. We used IMC electrical conduit and pre bent 90s. We cut the threads off built a tower. We were only 23 and 22 so function was the only thing we cared about. We painted in flat black and all in all it looked very good for $80. It was 8' off the gunal of the boat. It had a brace on each side 2' up and a brace on each side on the very top. Took a piece 1/2" flat metal and the cue de gra was the rope tie was a         2 5/16" ball with the shank cut off and grinder down welded on the flat metal welded in the center of the two braces on the top. The base plates were 3/8s flat metal. And to anckor the tower I used grade 8 5/8s bolts and used 2x4 blocks to speed out the pressure. It looked really good and most important it worked without issue.
