thanks guys.. ron and Dan? are they on this site.

New guys are cool  ;D  Ron and Dan Tanis both worked for and or owned the American Skier company in one way or another. They come on this site all of the time. When one of them sees this post Im sure they will chime in as they are the best resourses we have!

I dont totally know what Dan did for the company, but I do know Ron owned American Skier. He also designed or had a hand in designing most of the models they put out over the years. If you ever have a question, especially from the older boats........ they will be the ones to talk to.

Uncle B,

I second, third & forth what Mike said...  Ron & Dan are the BEST source for parts on these boats and the members on this board try to buy parts from them at every opportunity.  Both Ron and Dan know these boats better than ANYONE and still provide parts & services, but the best part is all the advice, direction & experience is FREE!!!   They are happy to help!

If they dont have the part, they can get it for you and/or recommend a replacement part that will work... and it will be the CORRECT part - they dont guess.   If they cant get it, it cant be gotten.   You should send Ron a personal message on here for the quickest reply.

I have a good strut from an '85 Advance. Needs a new bearing (no big deal).  Let me know if you are interested, you need to check to make sure it will work for your boat.
Ron will have that answer, but check to see if he can help you first, if he can't and the
one I have will work, let me know.  I will have to get it off the boat.

The 212-23 is the old style with a single 4" bearing, I stock the HD version of the same strut which uses the "split" 2 + 2 inch bearing, if interested call or email directly.
