Hey Chris, since it appears you have a map set up already...... what seems to be a central location from what everyone is suggesting? I wouldnt MIND taking lead on this thing, but it appears you are a few steps ahead of me. With that being said, if any research or anything else needs to be done.... I will be glad to do some.

Let me know.

Im like you though, I just dont want to see this thing go to the way side. It appears there are a good 4 or 5 of us who really want to make this happen. If there are more, please speak up!!! Im thinking summer 11 might be to close even as far away as it seems. As much as I hate to wait so long, summer 12 sounds better. By then the site might have another 100 members or so.

Im on the east coast, so what comes to mind for me is Tennessee (or therabouts) because that is central to the country and on my side  ;D  I dont know any lakes there, but it appears to me that myself going up from FLA or someone coming down from Michigan would have about the same trip, but that doesnt help any west coast people.

We could always start a post where everyone who is potentially interested in going puts down their State and City.....just a thought..

I like it Phil. Not a "where do you think it should be thread" but a "where are you located thread". That would help us find a fairly central location I think

Phil!  Great idea!  Lets see where everyone is at...

Mike & Chris,  I'll help out in anyway I can.  I'm definitely going if its within three states of Ohio...  Tenessee, the half-back state, is centally located and the water stays warm into the early Fall.

I'm thinking Summer / Fall of 2011 would be a good "test run" so we can work out details & planning hic-ups.  I've helped my brother with a few similar gatherings and the second / third trips are always better...  better attendance too!

Once we get a head count, I'll put together a menu and volunteer to cook if we decide to rent houseboats or a lodge someplace  :)  I may ski like crap, but I can cook up some vittles!!!  :)

I've been thinking a lot about this in the past few weeks.  I am going to use our Constant Contact service a work to post a survey for you guys to complete but here are my feelings.  I think we should do an annual reunion but do a north and a south location and rotate it every other year.  You lucky guys in the middle will have an opportunity to go to all of them without much of a drive.  Guys like me, Mike and Phil won't have to pull a boat 9-12 hours.  I can head up the north reunion and Mike can do the south (if he so wishes).  That takes the pressure off the main organizers some.

I put this here to keep the "name and town" thread uncluttered.

I don't disagree with the north/south thing. I would just love for once off we got everyone together for a big gathering. Possibly after 2 years of north and south????? PLENTY of time to plan ahead.

I will post the survey when I get a change.  That will give us some data to make a decision.

Chris, those maps are awesome. But anyway to make them bigger? They aren't getting shrunk much when you upload them are they?

Great maps!  It looks like I might get lucky and be able to do both locations.

I can do the Indiana & / or the TN sites...  Tupelo, MS, is a tad bit out of my driving range  :(   Recommend we start with TN as a middle-ground site for the 1st "reunion" so the most North & South guys can go...  :)

My boat is in Northern Wi, but I live in North Illinois. Lake Cumberland in Tn is a grat lake. We went houseboating there many years ago and it was a blast. Plenty of water! I hope I can make it. I've got the boat in great shape, time to redo the trailer now. MO MONEY!
