I will try to determine who the OEM vender was after the first of the year & see if by chance they still have the artwork.

What is the name of the font used for the "American Skier" side decal (bubble style)? Also, I have seen a few boats with "American Skier" on the stern and "Competitiion Ski Boat" underneath, does anyone know the font on that? Thanks for all!

I've seen it mentioned as "Bubble Script" but there are probably a hundred variations......

The "Bubble Script", Shield, "block style" American Skier are all custom artist created letter styles, not a common font as we are now  accustomed to since the advent of the computer. Remember these were created before computers were commonplace the old-fasioned way.

Can anyone tell me what year / model the side decals on my boat are from???  See my profile picture...  My boat is a 1991 Advance, but I dont think these decals are correct for that year/model.  I like 'em well enough, but am curious as to which year they actually for and what the side decals on a 91 Advance are supposed to look like.  Thanks in advance!

I tried to get the picture bigger as well & couldn't but was too embarrassed to admit it, figured it was me.

Thanks Phil...  It says American Skier on the hull side of course, but there is no shield on either side.  I know the decals were replaced to match WVU colors and I believe (almost positive) the decals are not the correct year.  They are yellow (matches the lettering & the pin striping) and are slanted, leaning right, with thin lines forward and thicker lines aft till they make a solid block at the stern / transom corner.

Not THAT big of a deal cause I think they look awesome and are pretty individualistic since I dont think anyone one else has 'em...  But, I am curious nevertheless...  Thanks again!

I finally met up with my neighbor to discuss making the "bubble" style side decals.  He said he can make a set for $200 plus the shipping cost.  They will be white letters with a black outline.  Note these WILL NOT be a two color decal, but a "layered" white decal placed over the black outline decal to make one.  The $200 is for a set of two to do both sides.  He will be making a crayon rub from a boat to duplicate the size, although I don't know if the size varied thru the years.  If any other decals are needed, he can make whatever is needed with a really good digital picture and/or a crayon rub so let me know.  For that matter, the colors of the lettering could also be changed, pretty much unlimited options.  If anyone is interested, let me know and we can get them going.  If anyone has a good image of the shield decals, he has a vendor that we can price to see what the "printed" decal would be for those. (To make a "layered" decal with that fine detail would be very fragile an probably not hold up well.)

Brandon, I have the shield decal on the original build/purchase sheet that I could scan and email to you if needed. Just let me know. Dont know what size it would have to be, but Im guessing he could resize it.

I apologize if I'm asking a question that has already been answered but does anyone know where I could get at least two of the slanted block (white) American Skier decals that go on either side of the trailer tongue?  I need to sand blast and re-paint this winter and want to be able to replace the existing stickers.  At one time, I had an extra one and put it on the rear window of my truck - looked great...until my father put a fifth-wheel travel trailer through it.  I was more bummed about losing the sticker than having to replace the window...  Anyway, thanks for the help.
