a special thanks to Dan and Ron
« on: June 07, 2010, 09:18:55 AM »
I have spoken with both Ron and Dan on the phone about issues I'm having putting my boat back together.  Both spent more time than I would have expected helping me fix up a boat that they didn't sell me directly and are making no money in the process.  If either of them where even close I would take the boat to them every time. Thanks again guys. I appreciate your passion for these boats and your patients with my ignorance!

You can tell that they have a passion for these boats.  We are very lucky to have their help.

Sometimes little things can help show our appriciation.  I sent them each a bottle of my home made wine one time.  I should probably do it again with this next batch.  I really thought hard about whether to post this or not but I guess it's ok because my intention here is to give an example of things we can do to thank them, not to pat myself on the back.  I would encourage all of us to do our part to show our appreciation...a Christmas card, a restraunt gift card...., whatever. Plus, there's no doubt that if something really bad happened (hitting a log or something) that I would be pulling the boat across 2-3 states to Dan's shop for repairs.
