USCG Capacity Labels Available
« on: July 25, 2011, 10:25:05 AM »
Several have asked for replacement USCG capacity labels, (this is sticker near the throttle that shows your boats capacities) most are worn & barely legible, others are completely restoring their boats & want to re-finish the deck. Originally these were made as a member service for builders who belonged to the NMMA (National Marine Manufacturers Association) They still print these labels but not in quantities under 500 per model. They have licensed another printer who can re-produce our labels in small quantities for OEM builders only. I am in the process of forwarding the documents they need from me so I can order replacement labels. Even better news is that they are also licensed to replicate the NMMA trailer VIN sticker.
Costs: it looks like the Boat Capacity sticker will be approx. $15 ea. and the trailer approx. $25 ea. (trailer has VIN# printed on it, ea. one is different)
If you are in need of either sticker I will compile a list and collect these through July & August ordering around the 1st of Sept.
PLEASE RESPOND TO MY SHOP/OFFICE EMAIL  Tanisr-d@charter.net   Ph 985-542-4336
I will need the following info:
Boat Cap. Label:  Year, Model, (if you can still read the persons & weight capacity include that so I can reference my listing)
HIN (Hull Identification Number , embossed in transom) not needed but you can include it if you want.
Trailer Label:   Year, Model, VIN number if legible, photocopy of registration or title showing VIN
I will answer generic questions where the answer may benefit others on the forum otherwise contact me directly. Thanks, Ron Tanis

Sticker is near the front, usually on the port side. 1991-95 were WESMAR built boats and many trailers were not built in-house, but outsourced, a 1991 would still have been built in the Ocoee plant and chances are good that it was still built in house.

Hello Ron,

Thanks again for all your help decoding my trailer Vin# .  As per usual you were a wealth of knowledge, and got me pointed in the right direction. The conclusion to the storey is the # you decoded worked perfect. $100. Instead of $550. To register the trailer and i am off to test run the boat and trailer today.

Regards
Matt J.

Hi Ron,
Are these the metal placards for a 79?

Currently what I have are for 19' Advances only, and these are USCG theft deterrent foil "decals"  which were not available in 1979, may be able to get these in foil will look into it.
