Who's in charge this year??? Mike Harry I think... ? I'm not sure we need to make reservations just yet, but you need to contact Buchanan's Resort (on KY Lake) directly to make reservations. I dont have the website-link handy, but you can find it easily on Google.
For those of you following along at home... This resort has just about everything you'll need - park the truck, launch the boat and get comfortable. There are a number of different cabin styles, sizes & comfort level options from multi-family lodges, really nice/expensive Condos, to small cabins & hotel rooms - all very comfy depending upon # of people in your group & $$ to spend. They even have camp sites with elec hookups, etc... My family opted for one of the middle of the road cabins, two bedrooms, HUGE porch that housed 6 people easily. The food at the restaurant was VERY good & resonably priced. They have a brand-spankin' new pool (not very big, but the kids & suntanners liked it). The marina is nice, well-stocked & the gas prices were comparable to prices on shore - no need to take a trip up the road for gas. I think it was Ethanol Free as well. Everything is within a couple hundred yards.
One of the reasons we picked June (Fathers Day Weekend) is KY Lake & Lake Barkley are HUGE, the weather / water is nice and traffic is still sparse this early in the season. We were able to get reservations for everybody. We found quite a few good places to ski/foot not far from the resort with minimal traffic over the weekend. During the week it was practically deserted and the skiing was FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC!! Recommend staying longer if you can - were gonna make a mini-summer vacation out of it...

Last year we rented a couple of boat slips at the marina and they were handy but I wouldnt recommend doing that... Had a helluva time getting the green out of my gelcoat at the waterline (old gelcoat)

Recommend using the launch & leaving the boat on the trailer overnight. Ron T showed up with quite a number of small AM Skier "give-away" items, Mike Harry designed & donated AM Skier dash plaques for everyone (out of pocket) and Phil & Gonzo ginned up good quality T-shirts / Hoodies with the same artwork - REALLY NICE - and sold them at cost.
p.s. This year we plan to pass the hat to rent a pontoon boat to use as "skiing central" to drop off / pick up skiers, family members, spectators, ski/footin' gear, coolers, etc - it will come in handy

And, we may be privy to a new accessory for our boats... Ron T still working on the details

If your still on the fence about attending this year... well, get off the damn fence and come on out!!! Ask anyone that went last year -a GREAT time was had by all!! It was like one big happy AM Skier family (that had never met before) without all the drama that comes with our real relatives

Good time, good friends & fellowship and GREAT skiing & footin' behind some AWESOME boats
