Can anyone recommend a descent towing cover for our 18 foot skier? So we don't have to tow her nude to the reunion.... We only have a mooring cover.

I could use one as well... I always tow her "nude" - not sure if its a good idea or not - sure does cut down on drag though....

I do not tow either of my boats with the cover on no matter what the weather. I hate it but those covers, all of them really kill the fuel mileage and a lot of the time mark up the windshield frame from buffetting while pulling in my experience

Yep... my blue canvas / polywhatever tends to rub the "blue" off onto my white upholstery - even if I strap it down snug, etc...

Guess I'll just go nekked!!! I... uhhhhmmmmm.... I meant.... the uhhhhmmmm.... boat... yeah, the boat!!!

naked is best

any good quality cover will be stressed to stay together for 400+ miles

Well, I didnt listen to my own advice and towed the boat home with the canvas cover tightly strapped down. The weather had completely gone to pot on Tuesday a.m. after I just finished washing & waxing the whole boat... Long story short - I tore two small holes at the windshield corners and one hole mid-boat where it caught on the swim platform ( I removed it to wash/wax the stern ). I KNEW I should have turned that thing over or reinstalled it but I had another DUH moment...

Anyway, hope everyone made it back safe & sound... Next time, note to file - dont use the damn cover while towing!!!!

Aww man.. We got caught in the rain on the way home too. But the drive was so long and it got so hot that it easily dried out by the time we got home. My main worry while towing was that a rock would come up and hit the windshield. Thankfully, that didn't happen. We need one of those full rear end splash guards..

Didnt you see my rock skirt behind my truck? RV store usually carriers several different types. Works like a champ!

I sure did. That thing is awesome. We definitely need to get one of those for long hauls.
