Well not me exactly, I let a friend use the boat and she hit the rock. Anyway, the front skeg hit the rock and pushed it up into the hull enough to crack the figerglass all the way through. Water now seeps in. The problem is the location of the leading skeg, under the floor and in front of the pylon brace. The repair shop wants to pull out the engine, pull out the engine/pylon mounting box, and cut out the floor in order to get at the crack. I thought he could just pull the floor around and in front of the pylon.
My question is this; is he right or is this excessive labor?
