I am in Michigan and in 81 bought my first ski boat a volante. At that time I talked to Ken a lot. Is he still with us? in 89 I bought an advance. Our family still has them. The Volante we replaced stringers ( where they drilled stringers for cables no one sealed the wood) also we rebuilt the motor. I wheeled on it last year and gel is still great we may however have seats redone. I still love the lines of the Volante. Ours is light blue. My son in early 80's was state and regional champ and competed at west palm. He learned behind the Volante. Also a friend that competed amateur ran one at 39.5 behind it. Is it worth anything except to me? How many of these with molded platform were made? Appreciate any info I can get.

Welcome aboard, glad you found the site. Yes Ken is still living life large in So. Florida with his wife Lynea,  we talk a couple times a year. He has been helpfull when I have been stumped on a question about the original boats....RonT
