Nice article... Yeah, I'll bet Ron was more than a little miffed that they sent out anything other than thier absolute BEST boat! I dont think my 91 Advance came with a back seat either... I really dont know.
Maybe Ron can decipher my description and provide a little insight: The rear bench seat consists of three pieces with two low, small, square, white-plastic buckets (for lack of a better term) screwed into the deck, open side up, with square padded seats sitting on top (one port / one stbd). Both buckets have wooden supports on the inboard sides with key slots to hold the center bench seat which fits snugly between the two outboard seats & locks in place with male key pegs on both ends. When they're all put together it makes a low & surprisingly very sturdy bench seat, but with limited storage of course. The upside is you can take out the center bench seat for easy on/off over the transom while maintaining the two port & stbd seats in the rear. No need to take out all the port/stbd seats - pretty ingenious actually, but not sure it was standard or even optional equipment. The previous owner updated all of the uphostery a year before I bought it and I'm not familiar with the stanard or optional equipment. The owners manual & 91 brochure have limited details...
Ron, Any help???
