I hear you on that Smitty. Although I have to admit, I've often thought that a Lazer (which I understand was an Advance hull) would be a pretty cool boat with the hotter Marine Power engine. I seem to remember reading something that they were lighter than the Advance and the engine being 320HP should have made them a pretty quick number. At least on paper. I have no idea if that is truly the case or not. Just don't think the same quality was ever there either. Interesting boat that I would love to drive and ski sometime.

The '88 Advance just completed her 2nd Reunion & is now for sale, Just brought in her replacement, a '92 LEGEND that will undergo basic repairs for this summer & then undergo major updating this fall, so go easy on the LEGENDS.

Fort those of you NOT in the know...  Ron's 88 Advance looks brand new - hell, most of it is BRAND NEW including all the wiring, plumbing, floors, underfloor foam, etc.   If your so inclined, this boat has years & years of problem free running ahead of it...  It is a "turn key" boat.  You dont have to worry about what shadetree mechanic did or didnt do correctly or  if the boat store part-time figerglass guy "hide" some structural flaw.  This boat looks and runs like its brand new!!!  Ron and the boys did a great job on this boat!!

Wow, I would totally own that brown '78 if I had the money.  Hell, I would buy all of these boats if I had the money !!  And glad to read that Ron has joined the Legend crowd.  Can wait to see what he does to it.
