I know you can go to Ford and get a ring gear cheaper than most Marine distributers. I don't recall the application that you had to request to get the right one and the days of just telling the parts guy the tooth count and diameter is long gone (seems if you don't have the vehicle make, model, adn if it has a/c or not they can't give you any answers!) Ron or Dan should be able to hook you up with one that will definitly work. I have heard of flipping but for the $50-100 for the part that seems easier than doing it twice (half a worn tooth will break faster than a full tooth, in theory).
