Sorry... almost forgot.  Pet friendly rooms are available for an additional $10 a night.  Our kennel costs $20 a night so the choice is obvious.  Looks like "shelby" is coming along on our vacation!

Gents, I am in the process of looking to see if I am available to make it that weekend.  The summer is the busy time for me with my new business.  I think I can get there for the weekend but that will be it as I need to be back on Mon.  So I most likely will be there fri night and leave sun afternoon.  BJ

Thanks for the heads up BJ!   Come earlier if you can...  Both Dan and I will be there by Wed or Thur!   Come on, "You deserve a break today!"  Was that a McDonald's or Burger King slogan??   :P

Let me know when you confirm.  I'm trying to compile a list of who, # of guests, dates, type boat(s), etc...

Alrighty then...  down to business!   I'm gonna put together a basic agenda / timeline (nothing fancy).  I want to keep this event FUN, simple and down to earth (the way we like it) but want to include a couple of items we can enjoy & share besides boating, skiing & footin' our asses off!!!  I have a few questions / favors to ask:

1.  Is anyone planning to make/sell 3rd Annual Reunion t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, floaties, etc?

2.  Is anyone planning to make/provide some kind of awards, plaques, memorabilia, etc (similar to last year)?

3.  Would anyone be interested in providing instruction for a tech session/DIY on maintenance items common to our boats - proper winterization technique, impeller pump inspection/replacement, shaft waterseal inspection/replacement, strut bearing inspection/replacement, installation of Elec Ignition, etc, to name a few?  Looking for TWO volunteers / one session ea - one Sat / one Sun.  Not taking up a lot of time/effort - mostly just one maintenance item at 30 min. per tech session.

4.  Would anyone like to host a potluck cookout for our annual Ron telling AM Skier stories and BS session (one of the better things we do...  beer is usually invovled)?  Preferably someone renting a Cabin...   If not, we can have it at the common area/BBQ grill.

5.  Any ideas you have to make our 3rd Annual Reunion even better?

Post your ideas on here (so everyone can read/comment) and PM me directly with details if your interested in providing any of the above items.  Lets get this party STARTED!!!

you guys name the subject - Ron and I are already prepared - Ron, 30 minutes, only 30 minutes  :)

And I had an idea on shirts. Somthing swishing around in my head for some time. I dont want to outline it as I think a suprise would be cool, but if it must be said it must so let me know. I know that the shirt thing has been done by others every other year so Ill be glad to let that one go, but I do think I have a pretty decent idea on a pretty cool shirt.

Willing to share idea, just didnt want to spoil if it turns out we go with it.

Mike,  Send me a PM with what you have in mind...  I'll keep it on the DL...  Apparently "DL" means on the Down Low...   LOL!!!

Phil may not make it this year and I havent heard from Gonzo lately so I have no clue if ANYONE is doing shirts, hoodies, etc...  If someone wants to step up please let me know.

Ron & Dan,  I'm putting you guys down for one Tech Session each - Thanks for stepping up!

Everyone,  DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY REQUESTS FOR TECH SESSION TOPICS???  Now is your chance to get a hands on demo from DA MAN... er... DA MEN!!!!   ;)  Post on here and we'll make it happen!!!

UPDATE!   At this year's AM Skier Boat Reunion the Tanis brothers have volunteered to provide us with invaluable hands-on instruction for the following topics:

On Saturday, Ron will host a technical session on routine inboard boat maintenance including winterization procedures, impellor replacement and wheel bearing & trailer surge brake maintenance, etc...

On Sunday, Dan will host a technical session on Electronic Ignition installation (best performance upgrade you can buy for $100), Holley Carb fine tuning & troubleshooting lean/rich mixtures, throttle cable maintenance and fuel filter replacement.

Both are gonna use my 1991 Advance as the "test lab" cause my boat needs it more than their boats...  ;)

Come on out and learn from the guys that helped design & build these boats!!   We are soooo blessed to have the Tanis brothers here with us every year and willing to help us every day with our boating needs!  Some days you just have to Thank God you own a Classic American Skier!

If your coming to the reunion, please make your hotel reservations ASAP and sign in on the "3rd Annual Reuion Attendance" thread so I know who's coming & what kind of boat your bringing....  ALL BOATS are welcome...  were a very informal bunch  :)

Looks like this year is going to be very informal.  No 3rd Annual T-shirts, etc.  The good news is we will have two tech sessions from the infamous Ron & Dan (sounds like a couple of AM radio disc jockeys).  One on Sat and one on Sun - both around the lunch hour - so we can take a break between the a.m. glass and the p.m. glass and maybe LEARN something about our boats.

Boating Supplies:  I will bring generic adjustable skis, wake board & knee board for everyone's use.  Just give them back before you leave  ;)

Is anyone bringing a barefoot boom?  Someone may want to barefoot - I know Dan goes "long line" but not sure of anyone else.  I have a boom, but am not planning on bringing it - I'm way too old for that crap!  Let me know if anyone needs it.

I would imagine all the boats that show up with "barefoot" on the side will have a barefoot boom, I wouldn't go without it

Dan:  I would imagine that as well, but "It pays to Discover"   ;)

Everyone:   Let me know if anyone needs a boom to use or would like to BUY it  :)    $200 and its yours - I'll deliver at the reunion.   Its used but in good shape, black painted two piece, aircraft grade aluminum poles, with pylon clamp & coated wire rope to the bow eye - pretty standard stuff  :)
