The year may not matter... If your thinking of buying a boat of that age / size / cost, get it inspected by someone that knows inboard boats, preferably someone who knows AM Skiers, and knows where the problem areas are typically found. From what I've heard on here and talking to Ron, the stringers are probably fine. The floors may be solid as a rock depending upon how well or how badly the boat was maintained / stored over the years. It seems that Ron paid a lot of attention to the stringers when building and most of these boats dont have stringer issues - I'd concentrate on a thorough inspection of the floors, hull, especially the transom, and the mechanical, electrical, wiring, etc.
