I have a closed bow barefoot skier with the platform built in and I purchased it from Ken at his Miami shop in 1980 so I think the production date must be sooner. He told me at the time it was his prototype.

If you bought a prototype then the production date probably is later than 1980. We'll need someone like Ron to verify this.

Ken Elkind & I are working on getting the early history correct, he has a number of magazine articles from Powerboat & others from the early days he is copying & sending to me. Tomorrow we should be able to complete a timeline & get it out.
