As a woodstrip canoe builder and a fan of classic wooden boats, I must say that I'm intrigued by the concept of TanisCraft Mahogany Ski  boats.  Please tell (or better yet, please start making them).  Knowing Ron, there must at least be some drawings.

Drawings is what I have...about 25K worth of drawings. The project is currently suspended until the economy turns around. This is not a low dollar boat, the cost will be upwards of $150K so I want to make sure there is market for it when complete. I can wet your appetite a little. The concept is that of a mahogany constructed boat, euro lines, modern hardware, low maintenance exterior, performance more similar to a large modern ski boat, dockside appearence of a 1950's classic, and unique assembly system...and maybe that new Cadillac engine I've been working around.

Ohhhhhh... if I only had an extra $150K laying around...   ;)  I'd be very interested in seeing this concept boat come to fruition.  I dig the idea of a classic wood boat design (ChrisCraft / Century) equipped with modern power, electronics & equipment and the hull design to put out a decent wake...  It'd be great to tour the plant while its being built, but as far as "owning" one - I guess I'm gonna have to stick with my $7K Advance   8)  I'm just a poor ole Coastie with tooooo many kids  :(

Hope the economy rebounds enough to let you get this project off the drawing board and into the water...  I'd love to see one in person   ;D
