Remote relay
« on: July 01, 2014, 03:12:11 PM »
Does anyone know where to find a remote relay
Small silver box on back of motor 351 commander 1983
Or can I use an automotive part that would work?

Either a starter relay or voltage regulator, the starter relay has big wires from the battery & to the starter (on OEM starters) and the regulator has smaller Black, green & red wires going to the alternator and a purple tied into the ignition circuit. I would go to a local starter repair shop with yours for a replacement, I am not aware of any marine regulations on that part.
