Hi everyone, as one of our first steps in planning for a 2011 or 2012 reunion we would like to start finding out where are members are located so that we can narrow it down to a central location. Also, could you please update your location in your profile if you have not?
I'm in Milwaukee Wisconsin and I would probably attend with my Dad and brother who are also located not far from me.
-
Saint Cloud Florida (central Florida area)
-
Im in Kansas guys! Would like to see it somewhere in central eastern US?
-
I'm in Lake Mary (Orlando) FL, but I don't mind going a little north. I think I would be able to go anywhere in the South East.
-
soo, you beat me to it!!!
-
Columbus, OH... ;D
-
Summer boats in Kansas City, Mo. Most winters its in Dallas, Tx
-
Okie from Muskogee!
-
I will put the updated map in pics. I will try to do a drivetime zone and post it up as well.
-
Right now a 9 hour drivetime zone from Nashville includes everyone on the map.
-
Norris lake Tn.
-
I'm in Indianapolis, IN, my boat is in North Webster, IN - but with 3 young kids, I'm a longshot for the reunion at best...but you never know and I'd like to make it if possible.
-
Fort Campbell KY, right near Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake.
-
I'm in Dallas, TX and have a brother in Missouri on table rock lake. Both of us have skiers. I am working on gathering some info and locations to have it on Table Rock Lake in Southern Missouri. Chris Craft does an annual meeting there in June. I am going to try to contact their organizer to see what cost would be to mimick their cruise. You can read about it on www.heartland-classics.org (http://www.heartland-classics.org).
-
Right now I'm liking the Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake location.
-
We are talking next summer now right?

We are talking next summer now right?
I think that's still up for debate. I guess it all depends on how many are interested...
-
I ready either way! Im planing on leaving the boat in until mid nov (weather permitting) hopefully skiing on my birthday nov 16 and the big 40
-
12 and a half hours to KY for me. (according to mapquest)
Im in for almost anywhere. Hopefully Ill have all the bugs worked out by next summer.
-
I am also in Kansas City, MO!!!
-
Redid the map, Center Hill Lake TN would be almost exactly center (as drive time goes) for all of us. It would put Mike and me at about 10:20. I will look at some North/south alternatives and repost some map pics.
-
I'm down with that ;)
-
Indiana, Pennsylvania. We trailered the boat to Lake Norman, N.C. this past year from PA 8) for a week long vacation...wasn't too bad. We'd be up for another road trip!
-
I can do TN ;D

2011

I'm in for TN! Stationed at Fort Campbell, KY, real close to Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake. Kentucky Lake has several good sandbars and 5-6 places to dock and eat or drink across the lake. Rented a cabin last summer for a family vacation at Buchanan's Resort, nice place, and affordable. They have a decent Marina, fuel, and restaurant on the resort. Also, a floating bar across the bay has live music on the dock every Fri/Sat/Sun.

Another option is a trip down the Cumberland River. There are a lot of resorts on Old Hickory Lake, which is 30 miles or so upriver of Nashville. You can pass through the locks for a day trip to downtown Nashville. There's docking for 15 boats or so downtown, along with some pretty cool views along the way. The nice thing about being close to the river is those of you who look forward to early morning glass will have it most of the day on the river.

Sounds awesome..
-
Like I said... I'M IN!!!! TN is a nice central location to have a 1st Annual AM Skier gathering :) What do we have to do to make this happen???
-
Start throwing around some dates...
-
June 3rd through June 5th would work for me, that's making it 2 nights, Friday through Sunday.
July and August can be pretty rough here, between the humidity and temps in the upper 90's, usually see temps in the 80's for June.
What do you guys think?
-
Here's some pics I dug up from last summer's family vacation to Kentucky Lake, this is one of the beaches on an island about 15 minutes from Buchanan's Resort, unofficially called Budweiser beach, good times!
-
I have two kids in school till June 8th and Momma wants to go too! Fortunately, the whole family skis so the weekend of June 10th works for us and any date after that if work doesnt get in the way - damn work is always a pain... :P
Lets get this thing rolling!!!! Spring will be here before you know it... 8)
-
June 10th sounds good to me. Also, the pontoon in those pics is a rental from the neighboring marina, pretty fair at only $150 a day.
-
I would prefer Kentucky :) One thing is sure for me though. I cannot attend end of July or early August. We are expecting our 2nd child.

Lake Martin, Alabama
-
Ive already stated lake martin Alabama! But the fact of the matter is, unless everyone wants to actually camp..... at wind creek, there is really no place on the water for us all to stay. Thats where Id love it to be though.
There are 2 or 3 of us here from the lake martin area, (im from but not living around) we should all get together sometime..... Im usually up that way 1 or 2 times a summer
-
Wow that is awesome!! I am from Alex City, but I live in Millbrook now. We do all of our boating on Martin, and that is where my boat stays. I would love to meet and see some more Skier's on the Lake. I'm restoring mine now and have lots of questions!!
-
looks like Buchanan's Resort, is almost exactly the same distance away from Ron and I , good pick.
