Title: 1992 American Skier Advance Sport
Post by: knickknack on September 12, 2014, 10:36:37 PM
I have found a 1992 American Skier Advance Sport for sale with a ski tower. I am not familiar with American Skier boat line. Can anyone give me any insight on this model boat. Is the hull made of completely composite components or are there any  any wood components?  Does the hull have any flaws that I should look for do to its  age? Also the boat has only 292 hrs showing,  is there certain mechanical things I should be concerned with?  Engine ? Transmission? Overall characteristics of this boat?

I do have 1 question.  Are the 1992 advance models completely composite.

Thanks Dan

Should I be concerned with rot.  Also can you give me some insight on the power package. Durability?  Things to look for before purchasing?

Dan's on vacation now & I'm back, the things to look for are the same for any boat engine, if the hours are accurate it would be considered low hours. Believe it or not I look at the engines exterior condition first, if its clean the owner probably took care of it, if its rusty & nasty looking I would get more suspicious.
