Hello Everyone
Just spent the past two days enjoying my "new" 1988 American Skier Advance I recently purchased from Mr. Ron Tanis...an absolute beautiful boat and a joy to ski behind. My wife had to literally peel me off the water earlier this evening...I kept asking for just one more go! Ron says it was the "rescue boat"... I call it the "rocket ship" :)...!
I'm sure glad he rescued it...

Now I can begin Rescue II, a gen 3 tournament skier 19' legend that came in last year with a forward fin strike that pushed the fin into the hull & needs some TLC, fixed the fin/hull issue last year, now the fun begins. Glad the Advance went to a good home where she will be well taken care of for years to come, that boat turned heads everywhere she went, nobody believed she was 25+ years old!

Ryan, congratulations! you have the best Advance there is - solid construction to begin with but then add a few decades of learning and practicing improvement(s) and you have something really special. Ron and sons really put in a genuine painstaking no shortcuts effort to restore this boat.
Enjoy!

Very jealous. Someday I'll have enough money to pay one of these guys to restore mine!

We also have a 1988 Advance. On a lake full of new MasterCraft we are constantly being waved down by folks wanting to learn more about our boat.
