Title: 1988 Advance Needs New Motor
Post by: RookieRecurve on April 04, 2014, 01:58:24 PM
Hi all,

I am in need of a new engine for my 1988 American Skier - Advance.  I have found one at www.marineengines4less.com (http://www.marineengines4less.com) for about $2000 U.S.  Can anyone comment on this?  Is this a good price?  Is there anything I should consider before purchasing this engine?  The price is for a longblock 351W.

Thanks all!

Ive never used their company so I cant speak for or against them, but if you are looking at the reman engines and you do decide to go with them you might as well drop the extra $200 if you got it and go full roller. I would.

Full roller will have quite a bit less wear and tear, It also opens up your oils....... flat tappet cams need certain oils and or additives to function for correct wear protection.
