Title: Rubber T that hides the carpet seam
Post by: 1fastsedan on June 04, 2013, 10:04:36 PM
You know where I can find this? I have an 82 volante and the rear board that covers the shaft log needed replacing. I ran all new carpet and I need to hide those two seams. What do I use?

If your replacing the carpet & the trim is shot, I would do as most boat builders do now, wrap the carpet around the edges.

Agreed. That's what I did with mine. Looks much cleaner. That "T" trim just ends up getting chipped away as it becomes brittle with age.

Done and done. I thought about doing that. Just wasn't sure what others are doing.

HINT: sand off the hard edge before wrapping carpet.
