Title: No Reverse!

I have a 1982 American Skier Volante. Forward works but I have no reverse. I found the service manual on this site for the Borg Werner trans, but my velvet drive says commander all over it. Do I have a Borg velvet drive?

Yes you have a Borg trans, good bet the cable is shot or out of adjustment
Double check the shift throw at the trans end

Cable is good. Linkage is good. It ended up being a broken plate. And I only had 8 springs? Shouldn't I need 11? Either way. It's all fixed. Going back in!
