Title: Throttle Knob

The throttle knob came off of my throttle this week. Any advice on how to replace it? Looks like it will need a whole new throttle. Boat is an 85 Advance.

Knob or shift arm with knob attached?? the shift arm has an allen setscrew on the bottom holding it on.

The wood knob cracked and broke off. I'm not really sure on the names of the different parts though. I am trying to figure out if the whole arm needs to be replaced or if the knob can just be replaced. Also how would I go about getting a new steering wheel. The wheel has broken from one of the three spokes and the other two I'm sure will go soon.

BTW Ron I spoke with you on the phone about two years ago about some issues I was having with this boat. I forget what the exact issue was (one of many) but your advice helped. After 1 year of rebuilding the engine and 4-5 years of fine tuning, three different mechanics, and very limited amounts of good ski/wakeboard days during that period she is finally running very well. Thanks for the help! Can't wait to get her out on Raystown lake in PA this summer. One of the best lakes I've ever skied/wakeboarded in the Northeast, very few boats on a huge lake especially on the outer edges, even on weekends! Probably because there are no houses on the lake, just a two or three campgrounds and marinas and a small handful of ramps. I'd recommend it to anyone that doesn't live to far.

Ron had some shift knobs...... Im certain if he doesnt have any in stock he knows where to get them.

I'm also guessing that Ron or Dan would know where to get them from.

If not, I got mine at skiboatspecialties.com. They're billet aluminum and aren't factory by any means but it fit perfectly and adds a little flair to an already cool boat. I've had mine for well over 15 years now.

i don't have any ready to go, i checked my supply & have (2) that are the high gloss walnut without the skier girl emblem on top that could be finished if needed.

Those high gloss walnut knobs are very nice!!   Although, I Waaaaaaaaaaaant the skier girl throttle knob if anyone ever finds one!  They are as scarce as hen's teeth!!

The previous owner had my knob wrapped in carbon fiber with the skier girl in top. Came out great. I show a pic but snapbucket isn't working at the moment.
