Title: Salt Water Use

Just bought a '79 American Skier 18'. This is my first inboard after owning several outboards and an I/O. I have what may seem like a stupid question: Can the boat be used in salt water?

Short answer-yes- but saltwater will attack several areas of the boat, I assume the boat has been in fresh water all its life, so you will want to at least flush the engine after every use (a flush fitting can be installed) and wash the boat with fresh water often.
