Title: Getting started on my '86 Advance (again)
Post by: thegoodhalf on August 08, 2012, 07:18:54 PM
Ok so some of you may remember that I picked this '86 Advance up two years ago for $1200 with a solid floor, good windshield with a few nicks and scratches, some slight bubbles in the hull, but not much as far as interior goes.  The driver seat was there and complete and the passenger upper seat backs were there but shredded... the motor cover was there as well.  The vinyl is pretty much intact, but the seams are all split so I'm going to have to take time to make new patterns.  I am missing the passenger seat bottom and every piece of the rear seat and boxing that goes under the rear seat as well as the side panels that run from front seats to the rear seat.

If anyone has any patterns or pieces they can photograph and/or send me measurements of the passenger seat bottom and all rear seat pieces, I'd be grateful.  I fortunately work for a company that manufactures outdoor furniture cushions so I can do it all myself, but I need measurements and any photographs I can get.

I'm attaching a picture of the boat i bought.  I love this boat and am very inspired to get her back in shape soon.

Thank you for any help you can give me!  You guys seem like a great bunch of people!

As far as the back seat goes, my 86 has a seat that is made of cushion only with no board supports anywhere.
