Title: My poor boat
Post by: ccspud on July 08, 2012, 06:24:22 PM
I need a strut assy, rudder and maybe the rudder housing,  they will be the hardest to find. I will also need a shaft and a prop.

I was having great time on the mississippi river...............................then there was a bang a clunk and a very very ...bad vibration. I just hoped that the boat didn't sink as fast as my spirits.  Luckily I was close to the ramp and no one was hurt. Once on the trailer, the damage was easily apparent. It needed the complete under water running gear. There was also a crack in the hull next to the strut about a foot long. Also there was damage in the fiberglass around the  the rudder. Needles to say it was a long, quiet, sickenly trip home.

I have insurance but I hope I can fix the boat, even if they deside to total the boat.  luckily I work part time for Hartwick Marina on lake Delhi, Iowa that has been a Correct Craft dealer since 1965 and is the go to marina for inboard ski boats. I will have quite the story to tell them come monday, but sadly a story they have heard.

I hope all the bad news is behind me. I will try to be positive.

Have a great day!
