Title: Why I love this site
Post by: chrisheile on June 04, 2012, 05:31:35 PM
I belong to a number of online discussion forums, tennis, archery, bowhunting, concealed carry, and beer.   What I love about this group is that there are no jerks on here.  Now I'm not around as much as I used to be so maybe I missed something but A. I doubt it.  B. if there was a problem, I'm sure Phil made short work of it.  It's been a pleasure to hang with you guys.   On other forums, they fight, attack each other , makes smart ass comments, and just overall try to get under each others skin.  Sometimes you hate to post a question because people make stupid comments.  It happened to me just today.

Keep up the good work.  If you get any trolls, make sure they disappear.

I gotta echo Chris' comments...   Try logging on to a Porsche or worse Ferrari site and you'll see...  The 928 guys are pretty good cause WE are the step-children of the Porsche community and we tend to stick together, but the 911 & other forums can get pretty damn nasty at times...  It makes no sense to me.

This is the best place I've come across to get good info, excellent advice, suggestions & tech help without all the BS & snide comments of other sites...   More importantly what I find on here is a sense of belonging to a select group of great people with an even more selective taste in boats and allot of commeraderie  :)   Dont shoot me if I spelled that wrong...   LOL!!!   Most of us have never even met and were in here helping eachother on a daily basis - THATS COOL!!!

Chris,  Where is the BEER forum...???   inquiring minds wanna know!!!   :)

I would agree !!  When I get on my diesel sites, they sometimes pretty negative towards other folks on there especially when someone does not know what they are talking about.  However here,  its just all advise, no issues when someone doesn't know anything.......

Yeah, this is good to hear.  I've spent a considerable amount of time making sure that we keep spammers and trolls OFF this forum.

Which reminds me...  Mike, you didnt happen to make a trophy for Phil did you???  If not, then NEXT year he's gonna get one... and then we can get him drunk and throw him in the lake - cause thats how us Coasties roll  ;)

Seriously,  Phil has done an excellent job on this site - above & beyond the call!!  I can barely even spell intra... inter...  enter...  net....  Yeah, thats it...  ENTER-NET  ;)

Thanks buddy!

I sent 3 awards and am really letting Ron give them out at his discression. 1 will be boat of choice, I do know that..... the other 2 will be whatever he decides.

Joel, also I saved you one of the other items that all boaters will be recieving and will ship that to you along with the 1 decal I had already promised.

After the reunion last year I got into the Am Skier boats so much more and this webpage keeps the drive going. Phill spends a lot of time messing with this stuff, more than you would think so keep it up and good job Philly.

I wouldnt do it if I didnt enjoy it. Do I put a little of my own money and time in it...... sure. But its more time than money and again I enjoy it.

Also give thanks to Ron, he went in halves on part of the awards. Id like to give thanks to my mother. She made the blocks you all will be recieving. I dont know how well they will be liked but it is something she makes and sells for other events and she wanted to do it for me (us). They were also no cost, all I had to do was put in my input.

But thanks for the recognition.
