Title: Fuel Pump & Distributor Help
Post by: SnoRyder916 on August 13, 2010, 02:32:06 PM
My fuel pump just went out on my 91 Volante, I went to my local parts store and no one can find that fuel pump. The engine is a 351 indmar, and the pump is a carter mechanical pump. Does anyone have a part number or any ideas to help me out?

Also I was wondering if any one had suggestions on which electric distributor to go with to replace my old and get rid of the points and coil.

Gotta get her fixed, seasons ending soon out here in Utah. Thanks for the help

Just so you are aware, edelbrock makes a marine fuel pump. That's what I got for my engine. It is however a Chevy base and yours is a Ford base
I'm sure edelbrock has for both. I got mine through jegs.

Im going to order the pump that you recomended Phil. It looks like the only difference is the one that was on my boat has a filter on the bottom. I'll just run a inline fuel filter, Thanks for all the help everybody.
