I have a 83 volonte with a 350 Chevy. What does these starters come off of?

Dustin,
When you ask what these starters come off of, the answer is a marine SBC. Don't try to put an automotive starter on it which I assume is why you're asking what it comes off of.
I don't have any specific part number for it but Ron and/or Dan may. They'll probably have one that they can get for you if you're looking to buy one.
Another option is take it out and to a reputable rebuild shop in your area for a rebuild.

Dustin, Eddie is right, the key word here is MARINE and autozone doesn't carry one - they may have one that fits but not one that is marine rated
and if you care to have passengers on board and or insurance on your boat you'll need the marine version

Unless you want to blow them up... then... well...  go with AutoZone baby!!!!   LOL!!!

Sorry, couldnt resist cause thats what Dan is implying - it HAS to be a marine rated starter (same for the distributor & alternator) because it operates in an enclosed space which likely contains the perfect mixture of air & fuel vapors within the explosive range (LEL / UEL).  One good spark and BOOOOOM!!!

Just ask the guys with boats that have a "gas peddle" for a throttle and an open carburator without a flame arrestor - not a great way to start the day   :(

Be safe!
