Title: Welcome to AMSkierBoats.com!
Post by: phil on December 13, 2009, 06:26:52 PM
Guys, I' hope that you'll give these forums a shot and I'm open to any suggestions that you would like to see on this site. Right now it's pretty much a forum but I have a few ideas that will be coming. One thing is a photo gallery for all of us to upload our great American Skier photos. I'll also be working to customize the theme and layout to make it more American Skier centric. Pass the word, and let's talk about these great boats!

Thanks,

-phil

Sure, just when I figure out how to use facebook  you start something new, (my wife & kids would laugh if  I said I knew how to use facebook) I LOVE IT....I've added a few things to help you get started, and added a bit of text to the pictures, let me know if you want more.....Would it be possible to add folders in the gallery for factory pictures, technicals etc....Keep up the good work & Merry Christmas...RonT

Mr Tanis,
So glad to see you here! I appreciate the info you have provided via email and facebook already. As soon as i get my Skier down here I'll drop some pix as well so you can see my engine and current condition. The boat is strong and handles like a sports car. I believ the stringers are ok but I'm gonna get a moisture indicator soon to test. The swim platform is loose and has brackets added at the top (which aggrivates me) but I hope to pull the bolts, make sure its dry and then plug with either resin and wood shavings or some 5200. I would love to seal up the holes in the top (stern) when the knuckleheads decided to rebrace. I also want to repaint the "American Skier" on the side and stern. Anyway, glad to be here. Love these boats....  It was the loud pipes and big name on the side that hooked me in the 1980's...

again, Phil thanks for the site!

Ron, I've added the two folders per your request(good idea). As of right now, you are the only one who has permission to post in the Photo Gallery titled "Original American Skier Factory Photos" but if anyone else (like Dan T if he ever get's his butt over here  :)) has a reason to post to it all they need to do is ask. The only reason I'm restricting this folder is to keep our site organized and prevent anyone from uploading non-factory pics to the gallery.

This forum is sweet! You guys and your boats..........must be nice. I enjoy hanging out with the moderator on his Am Skier in Wisconsin, although it is December right now and the lakes are frozen. That shows dedication on his part setting this forum up for everyone. Nice work Phil.
