Title: 1986 Barefoot Skier
Post by: Mike Harry on July 18, 2010, 06:04:25 PM
Ron, or anyone else who may know, how many Barefoot Skier's were produced in 1986? I know the American Skier is rare in itself (compaired to some of the larger produced companies) but how limited are the Barefoot boats?

Accurate records have dissapeared over the years but I would guess the 20' closed bow volante based Barefoot model there are about  50 for all years of that model.

My bad, we built "Barefoot Skiers" from both the 20' closed bow "Volante" mold & the 19' "Advance" mold & I get confused between the callers with volante versions & Forum users with the Advance versions, I think '85 was the last model year for the Volante version.

You think the numbers are about the same? About 50 per year for the Advance "Barefoot Skiers" as well?

We probably built more from the Advance mold than the Volante, my guess would be around 20-30 volante hulled & 50-75 Advance hulled Barefoot Skiers.

Thanks Ron. Not that it really means anything, I just like knowing stuff like that.
