I winter store my boat outside in the driveway at my lake house. We had an unusual snow storm on October 29th, 14" of heavy snow and high winds. Since most of the leaves were still on the trees, many came down, causing widespread power outages. We were out of power for 7 days at my home. Anyway, I finally got up to the lake house to check on it and the boat. A 16" oak came down, just missing the boat. I had taken the swim deck off for repairs. Had it been on, it wound have been crushed. No damage to the boat or house! I consider myself either very lucky, or blessed.

Very Lucky & Blessed, however you be underestimating the strength of an American Skier ;)

Same thing here in Hartford - over a foot and a half of snow, trees down everywhere on everything and no power for a week. Luckily the boats were safe and sound in my Dad's garage in PA.
