Got my daughter to ski for the first time yesterday. Took her four times but before long she was riding like a pro. Pics and video to come!

Nothing better. Keep them off the tubes for their own good. Congrats.

Congrats!! Couldnt agree more with Chris! Finally got both of mine up Slalom this summer... they were all smiles and Mom & Dad were pretty proud :)

No slalom yet, but she hasn't been around boats hardly at all in her life, at least not until I came around
She's 15

Sweet, props to the skiers and no props to the tubers!

I have already made up my mind for the grand kids. I will get an ez skier trainer. I won't push them but it will be there if they want to use it. With the first kid, my goal had been to make it look like skiing is just part of life. I think she will go next year (3). Anyway, if there turns out to be any tubers, they get a ride that is the same length of time that the skiing kids get. None of this miles and miles on the tube thing.

I just sling them around enough that they have to hang on hard and wear out quick

I let them tube ONLY after we've all skied & kneeboarded... that usually happens after the lake gets choppy and is too rough to ski... I'd forego the whole mess and just move to another part of the lake, but we have a very limited choice of lakes around Columbus, OH, and we take what we can get...
Congrats again to Mike... getting a 15 yr old girl to START skiing takes considerable effort because it doesnt involve SHOPPING ;)

That's exactly the way I swing the tubing too Joel. ONLY when its to rough to do anything else.
Of course ot helps that the old man has a 26 foot toon that carries all the play toys so I don't have to.
