Title: Upholstery work
Post by: slednw on June 07, 2010, 07:19:24 PM
So i dropped off the bottom cushion for the driver seat and the two spotter seats to have them re-stuffed with foam today.  The upholstery shop quoted me $500 for high end foam.  They are re-using the vinyl and changing one panel which is worn.  Seems pretty reasonable?

I wouldnt know what a "reasonable" price would be... but, EVERYTHING on a boat is pricey.  I would look around at other upholstery shops if time isnt an issue.  $500... that must be one nice piece of foam  :)

I did all that myself last year---picked out old staples and refoamed with high-density and reused my upholstery and it looks great and cost me 32$ worth of foam and resin and glue......even replaced wood in combinig panels with new and resined it...took half of a Saturday.  Just a thought.  D
