Title: Thermostat???

Does any one know what temperature thermostat should be in an 82 A/S with 351 Ford. I now have a 180 deg. but am thinking it should be 160 deg.

180 is to high. I believe that original equipment was 143 but now everyone runs 160's.

Thats what I was told by Dan and Ron. 140 original and 160 to increase performance.

Check out the 143 F thermostat for the Ford 351 at Discount Inboard Marine.
