I recently came across some of my old records and noted a few discrepancies in the "towboat listing" on the home page. Here is what I have:
1983 (first year for AWSA to test towboats) American SKier 18'
1984 A/S 18' and 20' Volante (closed bow)
1985,86,87,89 A/S Advance 19'
1990 A/S Legend 19' and Volante 20' (1st open bow)
91,92,93 A/S Legend 19'
1994 A/S TBX 20'
1997,98,99 A/S TBX 20'
2000,01, A/S TBX PRO 20'
2002,03 Elan TBX PRO 20'

Hey Ron,
I actually pulled that list from the AWSA website. Check it out;

Or they just didn't pay to have it certified. I know it's expensive, at least it is nowadays.

There's a hefty fee associated with each model tested, that's why we only did our primary promo boats. A couple exceptions was the Volante, first the early closed bow model was tested primarily for barefooting & marketing purposes to benifit A/S. The 1990 open bow Volante was also tested because it was the first open bow that could pass the test, again for A/S marketing reasons.
