Title: Known good repair shops
Post by: brandon on May 19, 2010, 07:29:12 AM
Just hearing some horror stories of overcharging, bad repairs, etc.  I figure there are enough people on here to recommend your best local shop and contact info to help others out.  The obvious ones are Ron's shop and Dan's shop, but if you know of another good shop, post it here.

I use The Navigation Company in Conneaut Lake, PA if I can't figure it out on my own.  They also have a great parts selection.  www.navcompany.com

I haven't actually used them but I've heard from others that I know that Lauderdale Lakes Marina in Elkhorn, Wisconsin is a reputable shop.

I bought my Nautique from Lauderdale Lakes used.  They sold it to the original owner and did all the maintenance.  Haven't seen anything hacked up on it yet, but I don't know what their reputation is.  They seem to have alot of inboards there.
