I felt pretty good this morning despite the herniated disc and skied about 150 yards or so. First time since February in Orlando. Skiing was fine, the worst part was getting into the front binding. Hopefully the cortisone shot gets me a month of fun then it's off to the OR for micro discectomy.

Sorry I missed you in Orlando. Hope everything goes better than planned in your upcoming procedure.

Chris I feel your pain (daily) I had that surgery back in '79 & it wasn't close to "micro" my zipper is 6" long. The good news is that even with the "old school" technology from the seventies with time I was able to resume skiing & barefooting (quit jumping) My good friend Chad Scott had this done 2 years ago & just won the Big Dawg slalom tournament 2 weeks ago. I was nearly pain free for 20 years after that. What messed me up was another incident in '99 where I broke a chunk of vertebra bone off & that did me in for skiing.
